Scarce example of a large yellow gold lustreware four handled Tulip Vase, in a Hispano Moresque Style with both Fleur de Lis and Leaf and Flower designs.
Made by Ulisse Cantagalli, Italy, signed on the underside with the typical Cantagalli ‘blue cockerel’ mark
Four handles and four spouts for individual flowers as well as the main vase section
43cm Tall
Circa 1880 – 1910
The vase contains an old ‘Phillips’ Auction House Label/sticker stuck to the inside wall of the vase so was presumably offered by them at some point many years ago
Has some damage such as chips mainly to the base, but it is structurally sound with no cracks or repairs that I can see, it also has some small glazing defects on the rim from the manufacturing process
