Vintage 5×5 Round Circular Silk or Wool Area Rug 153cm

I’m unsure if the rug is wool or silk but it feels soft and luxurious to touch and the carpet has a subtle glisten / sheen to it as you move your eye around
I have been told this rug is possibly handmade and at least 70 years old. When laid flat it is ever so slightly longer that wider and there is also slight asymmetrical characteristic to the design, leading me to believe it could be handmade
When researching this rug I have only been able to find similar examples that are modern machine made, these all have slight variations in the design compared to this rug. I haven’t been able to find another example exactly the same
Approximate Size: 5′ x 5′ (153cm x 152cm)
Condition: In good vintage condition overall with some clear signs of use and age, most notably some wear to the edge trim. Has one mark / stain that I can see, this could possibly be removed if treated / spot cleaned. See images for accurate condition
